ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - Arlington County police are investigating the death of an inmate found unconscious in a medical cell at the county detention facility.
Authorities say 53-year-old Edward Straughn was pronounced dead at Virginia Hospital Center shortly after 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officials say Straughn had a history of medical problems and was placed in a special cell about 12 hours earlier to serve out a sentence from a trespassing conviction.
A county spokeswoman says nurses conducted a medical check on Straughn when he arrived Friday, and that his vital signs were normal.
Straughn is the second inmate to die at the detention facility in the past two months.
Anthony Gordon, 48, who also suffered from health problems, died in late August.
