Police looking for two stolen utility trailers containing lawn care equipment

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - Two separate cases of theft are being investigated after utility trailers containing lawn care equipment went missing.

The Lynchburg Police Department said both trailers were stolen while parked on a city street.

The first suspected theft happened between October 23 and 29. A 20' Kaufman Utility Trailer, with Virginia registration 496546TL, was stolen from the Perrymont area of Lynchburg. The trailer contained three Toro Zero Turn mowers, seven Toro push mowers, eleven Stihl weed eaters, three Stihl backpack blowers, and other landscaping items. The total loss is over $32,000.

The second suspected theft happened November 3 between 2 and 7 p.m. A 10' Holmes Utility Trailer with Virginia registration 642929TL, was stolen from the Campbell Ave area of Lynchburg and contained a Toro Zero Turn mower and two Toro push mowers. Total loss is over $8,000.
