SALEM (WSLS 10) - Bikers are taking a ride to help bring toys to children for Christmas.
Motorcyclist came from as far as Bedford County to Lowe's in Salem to participate in the 27th annual Toys for Tots motorcycle run.
Santa led the run throughout the Roanoke Valley. Organizers said last year the run generated about $5,000-$6,000 and over 25 boxes of toys.
"It just shows the community the heart that the bikers have and that we can share the love and joy of christmas that the other people are less fortunate than we are," Robert Johnson, Director of Activities Harley's owner group said.
Organizers said 804 bikers participated in the run.
