ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The shooting in California brings the controversial gun control debate back into forefront.

The incident in San Bernadino left 14 dead and 20 wounded. Since then, a push for stricter gun laws has gained steam.

Some said there have been way too many shootings under the Obama Administration.

"I think what happened is terrible, I think the Obama administration, the government needs to do something about the gun laws here today in America."

Supporters of gun rights said guns aren't the problem, it's a mental health issue. Pro-gun people are urging elected leaders to push for funding for mental health research.
