Two men arrested in Henry County on drug & stolen property charges

HENRY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Henry County Sheriff's Office arrested two men after the duo was caught with several stolen items in their possession.

Officers arrested Dwayne Antonio "Munch" Valentine, 31, and Tevon Monte Burgess, 25, on Sunday, Dec. 6 at a residence located at 463 Chestnut Knob Road.

Deputies executed search warrants at 7 a.m. and several items were recovered from the home.

Police recovered three guns (one of the guns was stolen from Henry County), several video gaming systems, a stolen dirt bike, cocaine, marijuana, multiple bottles of prescription medicines, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia and substances that will be sent to the state lab for analysis.

Valentine was charged with three counts of possession of a firearm by felon, two counts of possession of ammunition by felon, distribution of cocaine, distribution of marijuana, and possession of firearms while in possession of certain substances.

He's currently being held at the Henry County Jail without bond.

Burgess is charged with driving with a revoked license, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana.

He's also being held at the Henry County Jail under a $5,000 bond.

The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $2,500 for information related to crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward paid.
