ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - A Roanoke family is one week closer to their dream of owning a home.

Hom and Seeta Chhetri have worked along with staff members at WSLS 10 and dozens of volunteers through Habitat for Humanity to build a new home.

Just last week, there was nothing but a stone floor at the work site.

In just seven days - there are now walls, windows, a roof and even electricity hooked up.

Organizers said it's really an incredible process that is now about one third of the way done.

Despite some rough weather last week, work is right on schedule!

This past Saturday, WSLS 10 had plenty of volunteers on sight painting and helping construct the home.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));

Day 6 kicks off week 2 of this year's WSLS 10 Home for the Holidays! Today, our friends from Bank of Botetourt will volunteer their time to continue work on the future home of the Chhetri family!
