BLAND COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A new travel stop in Bland County will bring in approximately 40-60 new jobs, according to county leaders.

Officials say the new travel stop will be open 24/7 and feature name-brand snacks, fruit, coffee, an expanded fountain drink selection, gift merchandise and Chester's and McDonald's restaurants.

Professional truck drivers can take advantage of showers, truck parking and a Love's Truck Tire Care Center.

"Bland County is an ideal location for Love's because it fits in well with other locations in the area," said Kealey Dorian, communications specialist for Love's Travel Stops in a written statement, released on Monday. "It has a solid community base and its proximity to Interstate-77 will allow us to serve leisure travelers and professional drivers, as well as local residents."

Love's hopes to begin construction this spring and be open for business by early 2017.
