RIDGEWAY (WSLS 10) - The Ridgeway District Volunteer Rescue Squad is asking for your help. Members of the squad are trying to raise money after pulling money from the agency's budget to fix two health concerns in the facility.
In August, a sewer line backup destroyed the department's basement flooring and sheetrock. The damage came over a year after mold was discovered in the flooring in the spring of 2014. Both projects and repairs have cost the squad nearly $300,000.

"It's just been an inconvenience," said Darren Lockridge, a member of Ridgeway District Volunteer Rescue Squad. "We haven't had a floor and a basement for quite some time. We're missing a lot of the sheetrock, cabinets, we're unable to cook and use the building for training or meetings."
Renovations are expected to wrap up in the next several weeks.
