Police search for man who took money at knifepoint

Roanoke County police say the victim was approached by a man with a knife who demanded cash

ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Roanoke County police are asking for the public's help in locating a man they say robbed another at an ATM Thursday.

Officers were called to the Wells Fargo ATM at Oak Grove Plaza just before 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17.

Police say the victim was approached by a man with a knife who demanded the cash that had been withdrawn.

The suspect took the money and fled the area on foot. He's described as a black male, early to mid 20s, last seen wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers ballcap, jacket and dark pants.
