Two house fires under investigation in Roanoke

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Roanoke fire crews are investigating two early morning house fires.

Authorities said the first fire happened around 1:45 a.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of Edgewood Street.

Crews contained the fire in about 15 minutes. Firefighters said the blaze happened in the utility room of a home.

Two people are displaced. Damages are estimated at $9,000.

Firefighters said a separate fire occurred in the 400 block of Tazewell Avenue around 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

Rescue crews arrived and saw a garage in flames. No injuries were reported
