WTEN – ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Sa'Fyre and her group of friends were seen riding in a limo to look at all the beautiful Christmas lights.
The best part was they were greeted by Santa Claus and treated to cookies and balloons.
Smiling from ear to ear, Sa'Fyre made everyone smile around her. Dressed in her red and white dress, she was overwhelmed by all the by all the holiday lights and decorations.
She even thanked everyone who has mailed her a Christmas card from around the world.
"Happy and grateful", said Sa'Fyre.
Sa'Fyre was escorted in a limo where she was able to look at all of the festive and colorful lights at the park. Santa's workshop is the one thing she waited for all night.
"Naturally we want to make her feel special. She is special. So we had a couple of officers here to escort her vehicle through the park and she was the first one in the Lake House", said Executive Director of Albany PAL Lenny Ricchiuti.
"She was super excited. When we were passing him, she would say "oh can we go into Santa's workshop?!" And I was like "I don't think we can and we wound up being able to go in so it was wonderful." said family member Christine Delgallo.
And yes she did. The next thing Sa'Fyre knew was she was bonding with Santa Claus.
All of this was done with the help of the Albany Police Athletic League who made sure Safyre's wishes came true.
Sa'Fyre also had the chance to visit the Lake House, something she said was an experience she'll never forget.
