INDEPENDENCE (WSLS 10) - Grayson County is coming together to make sure high school athletes have support from fans in the spring.
Earlier this month, most of the bleachers at Grayson County High School were condemned. The bleachers are around 40 years old, and were deemed unsafe for fans.
The cost of removing these seats is estimated to be $130,000. That is why business owners and volunteers are getting together next month to demolish the old bleachers for free.
The high school is expected to get new bleachers by the spring or summer.
