Two men rescued by Coast Guard after skiff runs aground

CAPE CHARLES, Va. (AP) - The Coast Guard says two men escaped injury after their skiff ran aground in Cape Charles.

A Coast Guard crew rescued the 31-year-old man and the 51-year-old man and took them to Station Cape Charles. The men were then driven to their vehicle.

The Coast Guard says in a news release that watcherstanders were notified at 5:15 p.m. Sunday that a 19-foot skiff was taking on water after it ran aground.

The skiff's owner plans to have it towed. No pollution was reported.
