The end of the year is quickly approaching which means its almost tax season. The Internal Revenue Service will begin accepting returns on January 19th. According to local tax Accountant David Kembel, there aren't a lot of changes this year, but a few prior deductions that were set to expire, are now permanent. Some of those deductions include the credit teachers can take for spending money for classroom expenses and the Child Tax credit will now stay at $1,000. The due date this year is April 18th, since the 15th is a holiday in Washington DC.
