For those looking to lose weight and go to the gym more, wellness experts say it's important to start small. Set attainable goals that are meaningful to you. It's also important to hold yourself acountable and treat yourself for staying on track. "Telling people what your goals are. Tell a friend, go on social media and say this is my goal for 2016. Also rewarding yourself at short intervals is important," said Cal Buck, Wellness Director at the YMCA.

Experts say it is also important to set specific goals you can easily track, such as saying you'll go to the gym a certain number of days each week or drink a certain amount of water each day. You can then increase those numbers as you continue to make progress.
