ALLEGHANY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly crash that happened on Sunday in Alleghany County.
According to state police, it happened at 9:30 a.m. on Route 220, just one mile south of Route 687.

A 2003 Ford Taurus was traveling north on Route 220 when it crossed the center line and hit a 2015 Audi S4.
Bonetta Jean Beverly, 42, of Covington was driving the 2003 Ford. She was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
The driver of the Audi S4, Christopher Boone, 41, of Moneta, was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
