Richmond school employee arrested on drug charges
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a middle school employee on drug possession charges.
Local news outlets report 26-year-old Christina M. Freeman was booked Thursday on charges including possession of marijuana and controlled substances. Freeman is listed as a security specialist at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School in Richmond.
Richmond police spokesman Gene Lepley says Freeman was identified by a K-9 for possible drug possession during a sweep of the school. He says officers then searched her vehicle and discovered marijuana and crack cocaine.
She was booked at Richmond City Jail.
It's unclear if Freeman has an attorney for comment.
