Man enters plea deal in Franklin Co. deadly shooting

FRANKLIN COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A man entered a plea agreement Wednesday in Franklin County Circuit Court in connection with a homicide investigation.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Daniel Arnot plead guilty to first-degree murder in the shooting death of Brian Foy.

Investigators said Foy was killed in his Moneta home on May 2, 2015.

Arnot also plead guilty to the following charges:

  • Concealing Identity with a Mask (Felony)
  • Statutory Burglary While Armed with a Deadly Weapon (Felony)
  • Statutory Burglary (Felony)
  • Statutory Burglary (Felony)
  • Statutory Burglary (Felony)
  • Grand Larceny of a Firearm (Felony)
  • Grand Larceny of a Firearm (Felony)
  • Grand Larceny of an Automobile (Felony)
  • Grand Larceny of Goods valued at $200.00 or more (Felony)
  • Petit Larceny (Misdemeanor)

Under the plea deal, Arnot was sentenced to two life terms and an additional term of 145 years and 12 months.

He will serve 50 years in prison.
