Former Blacksburg Lawyer pleads no contest in death of his mother
BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - A former Blacksburg attorney accused of killing his elderly mother plead no contest to second-degree murder on Jan. 7 in Mecklenburg County Superior Court.
William Yongue was sentenced to 16 - 20.25 years in prison.

The NBC affiliate in Charlotte reported Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called to the home for a welfare check December 22. When officers arrived, they found the body of 88-year-old Imogene Yongue.
After investigating and conducting interviews, officers arrested the victim's son, William Yongue, and charged him with murder.
He was being held at the Mecklenburg County Jail without bond.
