Virginia Tech String Project receives $20,000 grant

BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - The Virginia Tech String Project receives a $20,000 grant from the County Music Association Foundation.

The project, which is in its eighth year, teaches students in the New River Valley how to play orchestral string instruments.

With this grant, the program will be able to expand its reach to areas that lack orchestra programs. It will also help provide need-based scholarships to students who may not have the financial means to be a part of the program.
