ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Black Dog Salvage is teaming up with iconic restaurant Texas Tavern for charity.
The restaurant donated one of its signs to the salvage team, which will restore the sign and get it ready to be auctioned next month.

The proceeds of the auction will go toward Virginia Veteran and Family Support.
"It was perfect timing," said Robert Kulp from Black Dog Salvage. "We had a little hole in our schedule and it's a pretty easy job. We like it, plus a meal goes with it!"
Texas Tavern owner, Matt Bullington, said he doesn't know how old the sign is but believes it's been there for more than 20 years.
