Washington Co. crash seriously injures two people
WASHINGTON CO. (WSLS 10) - Two people are in the hospital with serious injuries this evening after a crash in Washington county.
It happened at the intersection of Route 19 and Route 633.
Police say a Honda Civic, driven by a 17-year-old girl, attempted to turn south on route 19 pulling in front of a tractor trailer.
The two vehicles collided.
The driver of the tractor trailer was air lifted to the hospital ...
The teenager was taken by an ambulance.
Police say charges are pending.

At 4:40 p.m. Friday (Jan. 29), Virginia State Police Sr. Trooper J.B. Barlow responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 19 and Route 633 in Washington County.
A 2013 Honda Civic was on Route 633 when it made a right turn into the southbound lane of Route 19 and pulled in front of a southbound tractor-trailer. The truck attempted to avoid the Honda, but was unable to do so in time. The two vehicles collided causing the truck to overturn and the cab catch fire. The Honda ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver of the Honda, a 17-year-old Meadowview female, was transported by ambulance to Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
The driver of the truck, a 60-year-old North Carolina man, was thrown from the truck as it overturned. He was flown to Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Charges are pending.
