Police are still investigating the link between the 13 year old and the two Virginia Tech students charged in the case. Freshman David Eisenhaur faces murder and abduction charges. Police say he knew Nicole beforehand. According to investigators, 19 year old Natalie Keepers may have helped. Officers charged her with accessory before the fact.

With two former Virginia Tech students in jail in connection to Nicole's death, some students wonder about safety.

"I feel that people are more caution now that they heard of something that resulted in a poor 13 year old's death" said Sonali Punj, Senior at Virginia Tech.

A vigil for Nicole Lovell is planned for Monday, Feb. 8 at Virginia Tech. Organizers said the gathering starts at 7:30 p.m. on Henderson Lawn.
