CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - A 19 year old was arrested on one felony offense after a firearm was found on the grounds of Christiansburg High School.
Forest Daniel Taylor of Christiansburg was arrested for felony possession of a firearm on school property.

Taylor was released on an unsecure bond.
School administrative staff received information around 2 p.m. Thursday in reference to a firearm which was found in a vehicle parked in one of the student lots.
School staff was made aware of the weapon by a student.
According to Christiansburg Police, there was no ammunition located with the weapon and that the SKS .762 mm rifle was located in the trunk of a student's car.
Police said they do not believe any threats were made to indicate the use of the firearm.
