BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - Blacksburg leaders say they are tired of getting the silent treatment from Montgomery County about a controversial piece of property.

Mayor Ron Rordam sent a letter just days ago to board of supervisors chair Chris Tuck.

In the letter, Rordam said the county has "not responded in any fashion" to the town's September proposal to buy the old Blacksburg High School property.

The town has expressed interest in expanding its recreational facilities there.

Rordam said, "We would have hoped, after five months, to be engaged in serious discussion about this property."

The board of supervisors has met in closed session numerous times about the property and has plans to do so again at its meeting Monday.
