CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - Christiansburg is asking for help to win a national competition that will boost the downtown experience.
The nonprofit program Main Street America will award $25,000 to the winning town this summer.

Christiansburg is up against places all over the country.
Town leaders said if Christiansburg gets the grant, they would like to use it for things like farmers market structures and barricades for downtown events.
Qualifying happens through online voting. Participants can vote through a computer or smart phone. You can also vote once every 24 hours.
Voting is open through April 24. The voting round for the semifinalists is May 2-29.
You do not have to live in Christiansburg to cast a vote.
