ROANOKE (WSLS10) - The WSLS10 Cares Blood Drive collected 25 pints of blood for the American Red Cross.
The blood drive was held at the Red Cross' Donor Center in downtown Roanoke Wednesday.
The Red Cross says blood drives are an important way to build the supply ahead of an emergency.
Organizers say they especially need donations of O negative, O positive, A negative, and B negative blood.
Donors can donate every 56 days.
