ROANOKE (WSLS 10) -  Raleigh Court Library will soon reopen following a $3.6 million expansion.

Renovations include a 4,800 square-foot addition to the existing 6,500 square-foot building.

The library will have new computers, books and shelving as well as a new roof and parking lot.

There will also be three new study rooms and a quiet reading room with a fireplace.

Sheila Umberger, Director of Libraries, says the upgrades will help draw more people to the library.

"We all have limited resources no matter what our circumstance," Umberger said. "Being able to bring, for everyone to have access to internet and books and DVDs and meeting rooms at no charge is a big amenity to a community."

The library will reopen Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11 a-m.
