The monument is designed to remember first responders who died in the line of duty.

There are more than five names on the monument.

The project took six years to plan and cost about $20,000.

"It's been a long time coming, we're really proud, the members of the community are proud, and this has been such a great way for us to give back, and to help remember those folks," Eric Snow, a former investigator with the Montgomery County Sheriff's office said.

A dedication ceremony will be held in May, during Law Enforcement week.
