DANVILLE (WSLS10) - Administrators at George Washington High School are considering changing the students' class schedules to maximize daily learning.

Administrators have been discussing the idea all year.

At Thursday night's school board meeting, the school's principal said one option being considered is moving to four classes a semester.

The school district's superintendent says changing the schedule to more closely align with the district's other two high schools could help increase the level of learning for students at GWHS.

He notes that the ultimate decision is up to the school administrators but he reassures parents that no change will be made that would cause students preforming well under the current schedule to suffer at the expense of those not preforming well.

School administrators will likely make a decision in the next few months.
