ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Do you enjoy ethnic restaurants as well as arts and culture activities? On Saturday, people in Roanoke gathered to brainstorm ways to get more people involved in those types of events.
The Co-Lab hosted a Winter(X) workshop. Close to two dozen people came together to discuss community involvement. Organizers said the day's focus included topics such as arts & cultural activities as well as ethnic restaurants. Organizers said they hope to engage people and discover ways to make a positive impact on Roanoke.

"Get together to form groups that put these things into practice." said Ariel Lev, CoLab director. "At a very minimum have a deeper knowledge of the arts and culture here and the international cuisine we have in Roanoke."
Lev said they also discussed ways to encourage collaboration between businesses instead of competition. She said the goal is to get more people working together to help businesses grow.
