Jury trial set for man charged in 2010 Roanoke murder cold case

UPDATE: A jury trial has been set for Ronnie Thomas.

According to the Roanoke Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, Thomas will be in Roanoke Circuit Court September 26 - 30, 2016.

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Roanoke police make second arrest in connection to a 2010 murder cold case.

Police charged 40-year-old Ronnie Clayton Thomas, of Roanoke, with murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm as a felon.

Thomas is charged with killing Tushawn Wray Drew, 35, on November 7, 2010.

Police have not yet announced what led to this arrest.

He is currently being held at Roanoke City Jail without bond.

Timothy Price Jr., 25, of Bluefield, West Virginia, turned himself in Wednesday.
