Local movie premieres at Grandin Theatre

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) -  For the second time in two years, a locally-made movie premiered in the Star City.

Where Are You, Bobby Browning? screened Thursday night at the Grandin Theatre.

It was shot entirely in the town of Vinton back in 2014.

The film is a family-friendly, romantic comedy featuring both local and Los Angeles talent.

"WAYBB" was produced by Alexander Films, the same company that made the Roanoke cop drama Crossing Streets. Crossing Streets also screened at the Grandin last year.

"I love shooting in Roanoke. Roanoke is a great place to shoot a film," said producer and director, Marc Hutchins. "As we're doing more, the community is beginning to understand a little bit more about film-making, and we're starting to get a little more support."

Where Are You, Bobby Browning? will screen again at the Grandin on Tuesday night.
