DANVILLE (WSLS10) - In honor of Earth Day, Danville's Utilities Department is trying to encourage people to become more environmentally friendly.
Members of the department set up a booth outside Lowe's to talk to people about energy efficiency incentives the department offers.

Community members and commercial businesses can receive rebates for installing things like energy-efficient lights, windows, and HVAC units.
"That's really just to encourage our customers to make that investment and really go for that efficient equipment because in the long run, it is going to save you on your energy bills," explained Meagan Baker, the department's key accounts manager.
