Dozens participate in bike run in honor of Tim McCoy
ROANOKE (WSLS10) - About 50 people lined up with motorcycles outside the Berglund Center Saturday for a bike ride to honor Tim McCoy.
"It's really great to see this turnout, proud to be here," Jeff Altice, Tim's friend said.
Tim McCoy was a former Roanoke City Master Deputy who died from stage 4 colon cancer last month. Mccoy's Wife Jeannie said she's glad to see so many people come to show their support.
"The main thing we want everybody to know is you don't have to go through that get pre-screened its something they can find early and they can get taken care of," Jeannie McCoy said.
Jeannie said the run wrapped up at Preston Park Elementary School in Roanoke where Tim was a DARE officer.
