BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - Virginia Tech's Air Force ROTC looks to raise money for veterans.

Members of the Air Force Power group, which is booster club within the ROTC, will host a mini golf tournament in Blacksburg.

The event raises money for the 'Hope for the Warriors' organization.

It's a non profit that helps veterans from all military branches transition into civilian life after serving.

Organizers said this their way to help those who served in the military.

"A lot of people everyday in the world can make a difference. To us, $10 for a ticket might not seem like a whole lot. But when you combine with all the other people coming - we hope to get a lot of stuff going - a lot great programs we can help out," Trevor Schmidt, with Air Power Association said.

The goal is to raise $3,000.

The tournament is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cox's Driving Range in Blacksburg.
