UPDATE: Missing 14-year-old girl found safe, man arrested

CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - According to police, 14-year-old Austyn Hughes has been found safe. The Virginia State Police have cancelled the endangered missing child alert, stating "the child has been recovered."

The Salem Police department found both Hughes and Koon Sunday morning.

The man she was suspected of being with, 24-year-old Seth Treyton Koon of Salem has been arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to online records, Koon was arrested on Sunday, May 1, one day after Hughes went missing. Koon is being held at the Roanoke County Salem Jail without bond.

CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - The Virginia State Police and Virginia Missing Children's Clearinghouse have issued an endangered missing child media alert on behalf of the Christiansburg Police Department on 04/30/2016 at 1530 hours.

The Christiansburg Police department is looking for Austyn Hughes, a white female, 14 years old, 5' 1", 108 lbs., with blue eyes and black hair, wearing: white sundress and cowboy boots.

She is believed to be in danger and was last seen leaving her residence at 370 Robin Hood drive, Christiansburg, Va. the child may be in the company of Seth Koon. The subject is described as a white male, 24 years old, 6' 2", 150 lbs., with blue eyes and blond hair.

The subject may be driving a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu, gold in color, 4 door sedan, with Virginia license plates VNA-3846.

Additional information: Austyn needs required medication that she does not have with her.
