Man turns himself in after police discovering Christiansburg drug lab

CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) – Jared Corey Fink turned himself in at the Christiansburg Police Department on Tuesday morning.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and three counts of reckless endangerment of a child and received a $1,500 secured bond.

Christiansburg police arrested one person and are still searching for another after finding a drug lab on Friday.

Christiansburg police executed a search warrant in the 2100 block of Fairview Street on Friday, April 29, for possible manufacturing of DMT, a Schedule I substance described as a hallucinogen.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office had served a civil notice at the location and notified the Christiansburg Police Department of a possible drug lab.

While executing the search warrant, Christiansburg officers discovered items consistent with the manufacture of DMT.

Amanda Janet McGaughy, 28, of Christiansburg, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture, sell, give or distribute and three counts of reckless endangerment of a child. McGaughy received a $1,000 secured bond.

No children were inside the residence when the search warrant was executed. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and the Christiansburg Fire Department assisted in the investigation and clean up.

Officers are searching for another individual in connection with case. Jared Corey Fink, 28, of Christiansburg, is wanted on charges of possession of a controlled substance and reckless endangerment of a child.
