Halifax County Sheriff's Office mourns loss of Lieutenant

HALIFAX COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is mourning the loss of Lieutenant Quentin Clark.

The Sheriff's Office said Clark, 48, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning from a medical emergency.

Sheriff Fred S. Clark has provided the following statement at this time,

"With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of one of our own, one of our beloved heroes. Lieutenant Quentin Clark passed away unexpectedly early this morning from a medical emergency. He was 48 years old. Lieutenant Quentin Clark, or "Q" as many knew him, was a vital component of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office and served in various positions during his 20 years of service. He was an exceptional law enforcement officer and always made us proud.Our tears are flowing, our hearts are heavy, and our prayers are constant. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, who is also one of our own, Lieutenant Tracy Clark, his daughter, and the rest of his family and friends."
