LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) – As thousands head to Lynchburg this weekend for the Blue Angels air show, there are several traffic and parking changes to keep in mind.
- Route 460 east and west ramps to Airport Road will be closed from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
- Airport Road from Terminal Drive to Hangar Road will be restricted to shuttle/VIP traffic from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Airport Road from Leesville Road to the Route 460 bypass will be closed from 9 a.m.- 6:30 p.m.
- On May 21 and May 22 expect traffic congestion on Route 29 (from Lawyers Road to Route 460) and on Route 460

In addition to road closures, parking for the Lynchburg airshow is changed because of the weather.
According to the Lynchburg air-show's website, Onsite parking has been reduced to 800-spots .Due to weather, any General Admission ticket holder that has not been issued a parking pass will need to proceed to and park in off-site
They recommend taking advantage of the concert and concrete lots park and ride shuttle service from Liberty University.
Airshow organizers released this statement:
Due to weather, any General Admission ticket holder that has not been issued a parking pass will need to proceed to and park in off-site Liberty park & ride parking. If you have not received a parking pass, at this time there is not a way to acquire one. Please note our shuttle buses are handicap accessible and have lifts for wheelchairs.
VIP ticket holders should proceed to the original parking lot site indicated on their maps and ticket information.
