Businesses encouraged to "Go for the Gold" at the 28th Annual Connection Expo in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - Businesses can "Go for the Gold" at the 28th Annual Connection Expo on Tuesday. The event is presented by the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance and Union Bank & Trust. Organizers said this year's theme is based on the upcoming Olympics which is happening this summer.

Businesses are encouraging participants to pitch winning ideas and "Go for the Gold". This year's expo features over 60 businesses showcasing their products and services.

"Really it's about how are you building relationships with those that you want to do business with," Christine Kennedy, COO Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance. "Its all about business to business and what are you going to do to learn more and reach out".

Admission is free. The expo takes place from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Liberty University. This year local middle and high school students from the young entrepreneurs academy will debut their newly launched businesses.
