Lynchburg police raising veterans suicide awareness

LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - Veterans on the Lynchburg Police Department showed their support during Military Appreciation Month.

On Tuesday, officers who are current and former service military did 22 push-ups together to bring awareness to veteran mental health issues and suicide.

The veteran suicide rate is lower than 22 now, but the #22KILL campaign's focus remains the same.
