A new K-9 joins in the fight to combat crimes against children

BEDFORD COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Southern Virginia has a new tool to combat crimes against children, and it has a wet nose.

Wyoming, an Electronic Storage Device K-9, will be introduced in Forest Wednesday, May 25, at 11 a.m.

Wyoming has been trained to locate external storage devices, like hard drives and Micro SD cards, that may be hidden from officers during an investigation.

Wyoming and his handler, Investigator Nick Shockley, will be available to more than 100 agencies in Southern, Central, and Eastern Virginia.
