SOUTH BOSTON (WSLS10) - A former director of the South Boston-Halifax County YMCA is now suing the Y.
According to the lawsuit filed in Halifax County Circuit Court, Marcus Hargrave claims he was not given 120 days notice prior to his position being cut in 2014.
He also claims the Y owes him $84,186.75 in benefits, salary, and compensation for unused time off plus "reasonable attorney's fees," according to the suit.
WSLS reached out to Hargrave on Tuesday, but did not hear back.
The South Hampton Roads YMCA, which is currently managing the South Boston-Halifax County YMCA, declined to comment.
