O'Charley's releases information about payment card incident
ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - O'Charley's is making its customers aware of an incident that occurred between March 18 and April 8, 2016.
One of its network security tools identified suspicious traffic and soon found signs of unauthorized access to the payment card network.
Customers who used a credit card at O'Charley's during the three-week period may be affected.
The unauthorized program was installed on point-of-sale devices that looked for card holder data from payment cards' magnetic strips.
O'Charley's has notified law enforcement and will continue to work with a third-party cyber security firm. The restaurant hopes to strengthen the security of its systems to help prevent incidents like this from happening in the future.
If you have questions, please call (855) 907-3245 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET Monday - Friday.
