Round Town: Memorial Day weekend

(WSLS 10) - Elmwood Park in Roanoke is home to Festival in the Park this weekend. You'll enjoy three days of music including local group Rutledge, Little Texas and 1964 The Tribute among others. Passes for a single day are five dollars with passes for the weekend costing ten dollars.

The Rooster Walk Music and Arts Festival takes place this weekend in Martinsville. Nearly 50 bands will take to the stage through Sunday. In addition, there's arts and crafts, activities for kids as well as food and craft beer. Single day tickets start at $30.

A Botetourt Church says thank you to Veterans and those serving our community. Fincastle Baptist Church hosts its annual Freedom Fest Sunday night. There will be live music, inflatables and fireworks. Freedom Fest begins Sunday at 6 p.m. WSLS 10's Lindsey Ward is one of the emcees of the event.

Head to Radford for the Celebrate Radford Festival Saturday. The event showcases the heritage and and culture of the city. There will be living history demonstrations, crafts, food, vintage cars and live music. It's 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Glencoe Museum and Gallery.

The National D-Day Memorial hosts the Stars and Stripes Forever concert. It features the Let's Dance Band with a tribute to the USO and the Jefferson Choral Society. It's Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Roanoke County's Splash Valley opens for the season this weekend. Enjoy the 34 foot high slides, current river, kids sprayground and more. It open Saturday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $8 for kids.
