DANVILLE (WSLS10)-- Police are searching for a man they say robbed a guest at the Budget Inn early Monday morning.
Police were called to the Budget Inn for a robbery at around 3:20 a.m. A guest at the motel reported that she heard a knock on the door and cracked it open to see who was there. She told police short stocky man forced his way into the room, demanding money. She says he was between 16 and 20 years old and was carrying a gun.

He stole the victim's purse, which had cash in it, a smart phone and a debit card.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
