CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - The New River Valley received nationwide recognition for its business-friendly environment.
Area Development Magazine just released its top 100 picks for places to start or expand business across the country.

The NRV ranks 30th overall and 12th among mid-sized metros. The only other Virginia location to make the list was Richmond, coming in at 68th overall.
Leaders at Polymer Solutions, a business that recently expanded to Christiansburg, said it is the talent pool, the emphasis on technology and the quality of living that make the NRV perfect for doing business.
"We're surrounded in the Falling Branch Corporate Park by other successful companies, and their success is showing just how this area in general is booming and growing," said Caitlyn Scaggs of Polymer Solutions.
The NRV also placed fourth in the nation for the prime workforce category.
