American Red Cross sending supplies to help flood victims

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The American Red Cross responded to the flooding in Alleghany County. Saturday morning, two emergency response vehicle left out around 6:30 a.m. to head to Covington to deliver cleanup kits, snacks and water.

Homeowners in Alleghany County are in the early stages of the cleanup process. Members of the American Red Cross tell WSLS 10 they are providing emergency assistance for the first several days. They say they are glad to be able to help.
