People flock to Roanoke for the Star City Motor Madness Car and Truck Show

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - People of all ages came out to see and talk about classic cars, trucks and motorcycles during the Star City Motor Madness Car and Truck Show.

Those showing off their rides say they get a thrill when people stop by to admire their cars, especially the young car enthusiasts.

Car fan Sarah Furr says, "it was fantastic.  It was really invigorating.  It was fun to feel how it felt to in there."

Car owner Jamie Laine says, "To see kids smile and then to let them get in, I guess that surprises them and then it makes everybody smile when you start it up.  Me included."

Money raised from the annual event benefits the Virginia Museum of Transportation and other non-profits in the community.
